In v2 when you set an LFO to sync with the host the LFO will simply match the tempo of the host but will not sync with it as such, making it hard to create consistent synchronised filter effects. The LFO will also modulate exactly the same way each time you play through a section, which is very important if you want a filter consistently opening on beat 2 and 4 of a bar for instance. In v1 when you modulate a filter with an LFO and set that LFO to sync with your host the LFO will stop modulating when the host transport is stopped.

The filter sections are also where I've come across my only complaint (so far) with Trash 2. Being able to modulate both filter sections is another subtle but useful improvement. Also the resonance of the filters is reflected in the GUI now where I don't believe it was in v1.

The addition of direct text entry in the filter sections is great, especially when dialling in or tweaking modulated filter nodes. The GUI seems to be an improvement all round! Slightly larger, clearer displays, better metering and the weird perspective correction look has been dropped in favour of a 'flatter' look that's far superior to my eyes. I can dial in the same sounds that I do with v1 and it's even easier to tweak and interface with. Had a quick play of the demo and it seems pretty damn cool! A lot of the distortion algorithms sound virtually identical to v1 to me, which I personally very much like (I've gotten to know some of them quite well over the years!). probably one of the first plug-ins I ever purchased and I still love it!
